Description of Seminar/Conference
	Do you want to offer group classes, but don’t know where to begin? Do you currently offer them and wonder if you could be more effective and profitable? Receive help with these questions while also learning about various logistics that must be considered when teaching a group class; class & staff management; curricula development; effective instruction strategies; marketing; business issues; and much, much more. Attendees will learn about various location options; business plans; class management; curricula; handouts; safety considerations; working with different student populations (adults, seniors, children); marketing; business issues (licenses, liability insurance, etc.); hiring and managing assistants; how to handle challenging clients and situations; and more. Once we have established a foundation group class, we will also discuss expansion to include other group classes. Attendees will walk away with a feasible, effective business plan for implementing successful and money-making group classes into their repertoire of services. This 5-week certificate course will take place online, and will consist of a combination of 90-minute weekly seminars, online weekly discussions, and weekly homework assignments. Please note: this five-week comprehensive course requires participation and completion of homework assignments by relevant deadlines in order to receive credit (partial credit will not be awarded).
