WORKING WITH FEARFUL & REACTIVE DOGS

Using case histories that are pre-selected, this two-day seminar focuses on understanding canine behavior, the nature of fear & anxiety, understanding aggression (including bite etiology). The role of stress, arousal,resilience and environmental factors are discussed. For all levels

The Elemental Questions provide a thought provoking and profound approach to exploring the Other. Regardless of training methodology, these fundamental questions will deeply affect how you approach any
animal and how you see them.

Six "simple" questions that form the basis of respectful relationships , whether with a dog or any animal or person. While easily listed, these 6 questions are surprisingly complex in the asking and in the answering. These questions and their answers shape not only our relationships with others but also begin to shape how we see & interact with our world.

Exercises to Build Observation Skills for appreciating & entering the
"umwelt" (an animal's perception of its world), reading body language on a detailed and whole body basis. Focusing on the dog's sensory input, external body language, understanding breathing, use of space, orientation, geometry, tension & more.

Demonstration dogs needed for practice, but no serious training
or behavior problems please. May use a variety of videos.
