  Description of Seminar/Conference

This telecourse will focus on what is (and what isn't) important when reading scientific research articles, and more specifically, applied animal behavior research. Particular detail will be given to understanding various methodologies, interpreting graphs, understanding statistics, and how to use discussion sections to figure out what you do and don't agree with what a particular study's results demonstrate. The main goal will be to provide applied animal practitioners simple tools to understand the relevance and validity of various research study claims. In other words, this telecourse is designed to help understand what scientists are really trying to say!
