Wag It Camp offers participants the opportunity to explore a variety of activities. Each activity is designed to build a strong working relationship, eager performance, confidence and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of the dog. All activities are based in positive reinforcement and motivational training techniques.
Activities include: conditioning, obstacle games, scent work, agility, heeling, water skills, lure coursing, T Touch, Tracking, Ball rolling and more
And though we love to train we love to play too. Camp always includes a variety of just for fun activities including camp fires, yappy hour and some silly fun and games.
Our instructors teach from the following philosophy: Effective teaching is judged by the ability of the students to understand, implement and benefit from it. Great teaching takes knowledge beyond the specific skills being taught. It must include a broad understanding of learning/behavior, teaching techniques, creativity, respect for the student, motivation and an always-open mind.
Instructors: Sumac Grant-Johnson, Debbie Gross, Dee Ganley, Jean MacKenzie, Carolyn Ross, Tracy Snow Cormier and Chrissy Hughes.
Wag It Camp is limited to 15 campers offering a low key atmosphere with lots to offer. Staff to camper ratio is high to support lots of personal attention.
(This is NOT an off leash event though we do offer specific areas for off leash time.)
