Description of Seminar/Conference

This one week online course will be an opportunity for students to review, discuss, and digest a current scientific journal article. The article to be discussed asks the question: "Can pre-natal stress – or stress before birth - affect behavior, and if so, can early medication with an anti-depressant reverse the effects?" Whether you have never really analyzed a scientific journal article, or whether you devour them regularly, this course is relevant for you. Some lectures will be intended for all students, while others will be targeted specifically to those less familiar with journal articles, while still others will be targeted to those more experienced with scientific writing. This course holds something for everyone, and will give you the chance to really dig into scientific research and writing, at your own level of comfort.
