Shelter Animal Behavior, Assessment, and Enrichment

Three Days with premier Shelter Animal Behaviorists from around the World!

We have gathered some of the brightest minds in animal sheltering to share their knowledge about the issues foremost in our minds:

  • Kitten Adoptions: what happens to kittens after adoption and what are the risk factors for premature death?
  • Cat Personality: what is it, how does it develop, and how can it be assessed?
  • Dog Welfare Assessment: what is welfare, how is it assessed, and how can it be managed in kenneled dogs?
  • Are behavior assessments valid?
  • How do you run successful dog play groups in the shelter environment?

Our panel of speakers will address these questions and more. All information is based on current, rigorous science; some research is so new that it is only recently published!

Gain hands-on experience running a play group with shelter dogs (additional fee)

Every day will end will a Q&A session with all of the day’s speakers.

We make every effort to post accurate and current information. Be sure to check with each lister's Website. If you find an error or a broken link on this site, please let us know.
