  Description of Seminar/Conference

This course is a very intensive 6-week program which takes place at the renowned St.Hubert’s Behavior and Training Center.  It will combine both classroom learning and lecture with hands-on work with dogs every day, under the eye of some of the most influential professionals in the field, who will be coaching and evaluating the class, and awarding certification upon completion.

This seminar will cover the following topics in detail:

  • Reading and interpreting dog body language, understanding and identifying the breeds, and social and behavioral development from puppyhood to adulthood.
  • Learning theory, including classical and operant conditioning, building basic and advanced obedience behaviors from the ground up, and how to manage and handle dogs safely and effectively.
  • Safety and equipment, behavior problem solving, leading your own group classes and private lessons, behavior evaluations and how to work effectively with shelter dogs, and launching your own dog training career and business.
