  Description of Seminar/Conference

This two-part telecourse is designed for new trainers and trainers wishing to begin taking aggression cases (or those who have recently begun taking aggression cases). The course will address several key challenges to working with aggression: different perspectives in approach and learning background; body language and identifying subtle changes in body language; safety and liability issues. This course will give you a new way to look at aggression, a new appreciation for familiarity with canine body language, an understanding of the importance of neurobiology in behavior, as well as resources and references to help you in your work. You'll learn what aggression is and when it's time to modify the behavior -- some forms of aggression are normal and totally appropriate in a given situation or context; however, the majority of behavior cases dealing with aggression lean toward maladaptive expressions leading to potentially dangerous or serious outcomes. You will also learn how various fields of science impact changing behavior and help you assess whether or not to take a case!

As a bonus, you'll also get the audio from a course Daphne did in 2005 on aggression!
