Creative Client Coaching
Every good trainer knows that being able to coach human clients effectively is the key to producing well-trained dogs. This fun-filled, interactive seminar will help you to become a better coach to your clients. You’ll learn how to teach more efficiently, keep your students motivated and, in the process, make coaching a more pleasant experience so that you can avoid client-induced burnout. You’ll get tips and techniques on working with everyday clients, as well as specific tips for handling difficult personality types, children, the elderly, and those who are physically challenged. You will also learn creative, motivational teaching games, some of which are geared toward private lessons and others that are great fun in a group class setting.
Nicole’s seminars are high-energy, interactive, and never dull. So get ready for a fun and informative learning experience!

Modifying Assess-A-Pet ™ for the Home This program utilizes Assess-A-Pet ™ with modifications made specifically for in-home assessments. Utilizing the ability to understand the subtle behaviors of aggression to better read dogs to avoid a bite by seeing the many behaviors warning of aggression and utilizing the mechanics of the Assess-A-Pet ™ temperament test, Sue will make a presentation on adapting the Assess-A-Pet ™ temperament test for in-home use. This presentation is useful for rescue groups who often must assess a dog for intake in a home, as well as for private in-home training.
The workshop will include live demonstrations!
Included in the day is a session on canine responses to different types of voice, and a session on how to use subtle changes in your body posture to improve your dog’s compliance, including recalls, stays and heeling. The seminar is chock full of hands-on exercises and demonstrations that lead to a dog who does what you ask, even if there is a rabbit across the street. If you’d like to learn more about combining ethology and learning theory to have a happy, responsive dog (and to learn more about the chimp-like behavioral tendencies of dog owners!), then this seminar is for you.
