Raising the Bar:
This exciting hands-on with Steve and Jen
White turns high performance training on its head to help you, the dog owner or
trainer.
Peak performance is not so much about the stuff a dog knows nearly as
it is about the relationship between dog and human.
Steve and Jen will show you
how to build a joyful relationship with your dog. By analyzing video clips of
work with attendees' dogs, you'll see the value of systematically building
fluency and generalization through "thin-slicing" the information dogs and their
people give you. You'll see how to mingle science and technique to produce an
artfully trained dog who is a joy to live with.
No Problem:
This
workshop will explore canine body language and how the recognition of subtle
changes in the dog can help to alter your training methods to achieve optimum
performance. You'll learn a five-step problem-solving model that works as well
for enhancing desirable behaviors as it does for fixing problematic ones. You'll
find out how to avoid the two most common mistakes trainers make when solving
behavior problems.
Steve and Jen will outline a systematic approach to reading
canine behavior as well as four ways to control the triggers that evoke problem
behavior. This simple, effective, positive reinforcement-based approach will
make problem-solving as easy as breathing.
