Biography/CV

Nicole Wilde is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) who specializes in behavior issues, and a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Nicole is a popular seminar presenter who lectures worldwide. She is also on the Advisory Board and faculty for the Companion Animal Sciences Institute.

Nicole is an internationally recognized author. Her books include Living with Wolfdogs, Wolfdogs A-Z, So You Want to be a Dog Trainer, It's Not the Dogs, It's the People!, One on One: A Dog Trainer's Guide to Private Training, and Help for your Fearful Dog. Nicole co-stars in the DVD "Train Your Dog: The Positive Gentle Method," and has co-hosted the "Dog Talk" radio show.

As Volunteer Coordinator for the City of Los Angeles' Animal Services in the 1990s, Nicole instructed volunteers in canine handling and behavior, handled hundreds of dogs, and served as adoption counselor. Her efforts were instrumental in many dogs finding loving homes.

Nicole served as Executive Director for Villalobos Rescue Center, a sanctuary for rescued wolves/wolf hybrids, pit bulls and exotics. She specialized in socializing the fearful wolves and wolfdogs who were to live out their lives at the rescue. She also trained wolfdogs, and gave seminars for animal control officers, schools and other groups.

Nicole runs Gentle Guidance Dog Training in Southern California, training owners to work with their dogs' obedience and behavior issues. Nicole continues to teach seminars for professional and aspiring dog trainers, to educate the public, and to assist rescue groups and dogs in need whenever possibl
